HallStar® PEG 400 DL is an ester synthesized from coco-derived fatty acids and polyethylene glycol. It is an oil-soluble liquid emulsifier (HLB 9.7), lubricant, emollient and spreading agent for the AgChem market (O/W). Typical use levels depend upon application and range between 2 and 15%. HallStar® PEG 400 DL is considered an inert emulsifier for both pre- and post-harvest based on 40CFR 180.910.
HallStar® PEG 400 DL can also be used as a nucleating agent in biopolymers (like PLA/PHA), reducing the cycle time of rigid polymers.
